Washington, D.C. -- Israeli police say at least seven people were killed and three were injured in a shooting near a synagogue in Jerusalem in what police chief Yaakov Shabtai described as "one of the worst terror attacks in the past few years."

"Horrified and outraged to learn that, yet again, an act of Palestinian terrorism has stolen the lives of innocent Israeli civilians - this time, at least 7 attending Shabbat services," said Congressman Brad Sherman. "Equally horrifying are images of militants handing out sweets to 'celebrate' this evil act."

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), senior Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Congressional Armenian Caucus, took to the Floor of the House of Representatives where he condemned Azerbaijan's continued blockade of Artsakh and urged for real consequences to be imposed on the Aliyev regime.

"Congress cannot stay silent as Azerbaijan tries to starve and freeze 120,000 Armenians out of Artsakh," said Congressman Sherman. "I urge my colleagues and the Administration to impose real consequences."

"No one should get a free pass for engaging in antisemitism - including at the U.N.," said Congressman Sherman. "I led my colleagues in calling on the U.N. to remove Special Rapporteur Albanese from her post following her refusal to take accountability for her antisemitic comments."
