Following the 2025 wildfires, additional fire stations were identified as in need of improvements and upgrades. This project addresses additional deferred maintenance identified at multiple aging fire stations within CA32.

Los Angeles Fire Department PFAS-Free Equipment Needs

This project funds the procurement of needed equipment for the Los Angeles Fire Department: PFAS-free structural turnout gear for 350 firefighters—equivalent to one annual replacement cycle—and department-wide PFAS-free protective hoods. This critical equipment provides protection against thermal exposure while reducing long-term carcinogenic risk, advancing firefighter health, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Palisades High School 1:1 Learning & CTE Lab Modernization

This project will upgrade 1:1 student devices and modernize four computer labs serving various courses, replacing aging, lower-capability laptops with new units and equip labs with new equipment to expand access.

Posetano Road Stabilization Project

This project will fund construction of a new 72-ft long, 6-ft high bulkhead on Posetano Road in the Pacific Palisades, restoring lateral support to the roadway and eliminating a safety hazard for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Malibu Canyon Road Rockfall Mitigation and Erosion Control Project

This project will assess and design features of a rockfall mitigation system and erosion control measure along Malibu Canyon Road to reduce the frequency and severity of storm-related closures, improve public safety, and ensure reliable access for residents, schools, and emergency services.

West LA VA Modular Homes Construction Phase 2

This project will construct the next phase of modular homes at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center campus that would serve as temporary housing under the Care, Treatment, and Rehabilitative Services (CTRS) initiative.

YMCA Wildfire Recovery Project

This project will provide support for rebuilding of the former Palisades-Malibu YMCA following its destruction in the 2025 Palisades Fire. The project includes a modern, fire-resilient campus at Via de la Paz and expanded recreation and wellness infrastructure at Simon Meadow.

Power Line Undergrounding Project

This project will pursue power line undergrounding throughout a residential part of the City of Los Angeles, reducing the risk of wildfire and decreasing the interruption of services for residents.

Calleguas Municipal Water District Smith Road Finished Water Tank

The proposed project, Smith Road Tank, will provide critical finished water storage capacity for Calleguas’s system within the City of Simi Valley. Simi Valley is the second most populous city in Ventura County, California, with just over 125,000 residents. It is also the home of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, which attracts nearly 300,000 visitors annually. Due to its arid Mediterranean climate, the area is particularly prone to fires.

New Sweetwater Mesa Tank

This project will construct a new 1,120,000-gallon tank, boundary fencing, and mechanical and electrical upgrades on Waterworks District No. 29 owned parcel. Additional storage is essential to meet current customer demands, provide a supply for drinking and sanitation during emergencies, and maintain adequate system pressure to prevent contamination. The proposed action will add potable water storage, ensure customer access during emergency events, and strengthen water supply resilience and preparedness.

Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) Wastewater Collection System – Fire Recovery Segment

This project will restore habitat connectivity and ecosystem function in the Malibu Creek watershed through removal of the defunct Rindge Dam and remediation of 8 upstream barriers reconnecting 15 miles of stream habitat.

Community Security Initiative Program

The intended recipient is the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles, located at 6505 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048.

This project will further strengthen the Community Security Initiative Program’s partnerships with local and federal law enforcement, identifying and assessing potential threats and coordinating response closely with local and federal law enforcement.  Last year, similar efforts saw a 74% increase in law enforcement reports to agencies (Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, and FBI).

Beit T'Shuvah's Law Enforcement Partnership Initiative

The intended recipient is Beit T'Shuvah, located at 8831 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90034.

Using this funding, Beit T'Shuvah's Alternative Sentencing Department will collaborate directly with Los Angeles law enforcement agencies, establishing regular communication through panels and workshops focused on lived-experience, crisis-response and de-escalation, and agency policies and procedures. Conducting regular outreach to these agencies, and coordinating support and sharing resources, will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of both treatment and policing efforts.

The intended recipient is the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority, located at 26800 Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas, CA 91302.

The funding would be used to support fire prevention activities on 5,000 acres across seven parks on the coastal slope of the Santa Monica Mountains.
