California State University Northridge, High Bay Structural Test Lab – NIST Scientific and Technical Research

The intended recipient is California State University Northridge, located at 1811 Nordhoff St., Northridge, CA 91330.

The funding would be used for the purpose of conducting large-scale static, dynamic, and fatigue testing and research on structural systems and parts with real-world, industry, and community applications.

Camp Bloomfield Habitat Restoration – NOAA Coastal Zone Management

The intended recipient is Wayfinder Family Services, located at 5300 Angeles Vista Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90043.

The funding would be used for the natural restoration of the Camp Bloomfield property in the Santa Monica Mountains and transformation of the land into a public open space for recreation and conservation.

Combatting Crime through Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment, Education, and Prevention Program – DOJ Byrne Justice Grant

The intended recipient is Beit T’Shuvah, located at 8831 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90034.

The funding would be used to improve the safety of the community by reducing drug-related crime through quality substance-use disorder treatment and recovery services for justice-involved clients – thereby safeguarding personal and public property, protecting human life, increasing employment, and decreasing long-term Federal and State government spending on incarceration for drug-related crimes.

Community Engagement and Enrichment Center at LA Pierce College – HUD Economic Development Initiative (EDI)

The intended recipient is Pierce College, located at 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills, CA 91371.

The funding would be used to enable Los Angeles Pierce College to transform its Arboretum and Botanical Gardens into a dynamic Community Engagement & Enrichment Center, which will serve as a hub for education, workforce development, recreation, environmental conservation, and community programming and events.

Community Security Initiative Program – DOJ Byrne Justice Grant

The intended recipient is the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, located at 6505 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 1200, Los Angeles, CA 90048.

The funding would be used to strengthen Community Security Initiative programs and further coordination between the Jewish community and local law enforcement.

L.A. County Sheriff Acquisition of Airbus H332L or H225 Aircraft (Helicopter) – DOJ Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS)

The funding would be used to acquire a helicopter for use as a search and rescue aircraft.

Crisis and Incident Response through Community-led Engagement Program – DOJ Byrne Justice Grant

The funding would be used to deploy teams trained in trauma-informed care and de-escalation and harm reduction to address non-urgent Los Angeles Police Department calls related to unhoused individuals.

Lake Balboa Sports Center Improvements – HUD Economic Development Initiative (EDI)

The intended recipient is the City of Los Angeles, Council District 6, located at 14410 Sylvan St. #215, Van Nuys, CA 91401.

The funding would be used to renovate and improve the facilities and fields at the Balboa Sports Center in the Sepulveda Basin, which provides recreational opportunities to all members of the community.

Los Angeles County Jewish Community Safety Plan – DOJ Byrne Justice Grant

The intended recipient is the County of Los Angeles, located at 500 West Temple St., Room 726, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

The funding would be used to implement a multi-pronged effort to prevent, mitigate, and respond to the rise in hate crime and incidents against Jewish and other communities, including other religious minorities. The Los Angeles County Jewish Community Safety Program’s primary purpose is reducing and improving responses to crime, and violent crime in particular, which benefits the safety of the entire community.

Los Angeles Fire Department Station Renovations – HUD Economic Development Initiative (EDI)

The intended recipient is the Los Angeles City Fire Department, located at 200 N. Main St., Room 1800. Los Angeles, CA 90012.

The funding would be used to rehabilitate fire stations in order to increase public safety and reduce socioeconomic risks associated with the spread of fires.

Los Angeles River Greenway Studio City Habitat Restoration, Beautification, and Safety Project – THUD Highway Infrastructure

The intended recipient is the City of Los Angeles, located at 200 N Spring St., Room 415, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

The funding will be used to revitalize an older segment of the Los Angeles River Greenway in Studio City by establishing connections to businesses as well as to the larger LA RiverWay active transportation pathway soon to be in design for the opposite side of the LA River, fulfilling the long-term goal of the City and County of Los Angeles’ respective River Master Plans to provide a more active biking and walking path on one bank, and a more passive, natural environment Greenway on the other.

Project imPACT Community Reentry Program – DOJ Byrne Justice Grant

The funding would be used for the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Community Safety to continue to build out direct reentry service programming that alleviates post-conviction poverty and prevents recidivism, with a particular focus on support for housing.

Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA) Solstice Canyon, Latigo Canyon Coastal Slope Connector – NOAA Coastal Zone Management

The intended recipient is the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA), located at 570 W. Ave. 26, Los Angeles, CA 90065.

The funding would be used to acquire select lands to increase the amount of preserved wildlife habitat.

The funding would be used to build supportive housing for housing-insecure veterans at the West Los Angeles VA property.
