U.S. - Greece Relationship

As a senior member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Congressional Caucus on Hellenic Issues, Sherman has long supported a strong United States - Greek relationship.

Sherman has worked on several initiatives to improve U.S. relations with the Hellenic world, including support for Cypriot reunification, Greek Cypriot rights in the Exclusive Economic Zone, the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, and Greek debt relief.

At the 33rd annual Cyprus and Hellenic Leadership Conference, Sherman was conferred with the prestigious Frizis Award, awarded each year to a prominent member of the Jewish community who has made significant contributions to Hellenic issues.
