Congressman Sherman Helps Welcome Israeli Student Delegation to Los Angeles

WEST HILLS, CALIFORNIA -- On February 22nd, Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) joined an incredibly powerful event at de Toldeo High School to welcome the twelve inspirational Israeli teenagers who endured immense personal trauma since the October 7th terrorist attack on Israel.

"Spent a moving morning at de Toledo High School in my district hearing the accounts of Israeli students living with the trauma of the October 7th Hamas attack," said Congressman Sherman. "These students have been driven from their homes by Hamas rockets - and many faced traumatic danger on October 7th."

During the emotional "Solidarity Ceremony", four of the Israeli students shared details about their personal experiences on October 7th, with Congressman Sherman presenting an American flag flown over the US Capitol. Los Angeles City Councilmember Bob Blumenfield and other dignitaries joined the welcoming event.

Sherman concluded his post-event remarks by proclaiming: "Hamas is responsible for the dead and wounded civilians of both Israel and Gaza. We must bring them home."
