October 7, 2024

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – In commemoration of the one-year anniversary of Hamas’s terrorist attack against Israel on October 7th, 2023, today Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) and Consul General of Israel to Los Angeles Israel Bachar toured the Los Angeles Nova Music Festival Exhibition – a groundbreaking and in-depth remembrance of the tragic events of the October 7th massacre and its aftermath. Also in attendance were Congresswoman Norma Torres (CA-35) and California Assemblymember Luz Rivas (43rd District) who is expected to win a Congressional seat in November.

"The Nova Music Festival Exhibition in Los Angeles is an important part of the effort to memorialize one of the darkest days in our community’s history,” said Congressman Sherman. “Today’s solemn day of remembrance is an opportunity for our community to come together, not just to remember the heartbreaking loss of that fateful day, but to honor and celebrate the strength and resilience of the survivors and ensure that their stories of courage and unity are carried forward towards a brighter and more hopeful future.

The Nova Music Festival Exhibition is a thoughtfully curated remembrance of the tragedy that took place at the Nova Music Festival on October 7th, 2023. To honor all those who were lost, the Nova installation recreates the experience of a festival dedicated to peace and love that was instantly and savagely cut short in the Hamas-led terror attack that fateful morning.
