Congressman Sherman Marks 51st Anniversary of Roe v. Wade
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Monday, January 22nd marks 51 years since the Roe v. Wade ruling gave abortion rights to women. The ruling stood for nearly five decades until it was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in June 2022.
"On what would have been the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we're witnessing the devastating impact on women's freedom in the 2 years since it was overturned," saidCongressman Brad Sherman (CA-32). "As a proud member of the Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus, I will continue the fight to restore, expand, and protect Reproductive Freedom for Americans nationwide."
