Congressman Sherman Secures Over $20 Million in Federal Funding to Support Valley Projects
Washington, D.C. -- Congressman Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks) announced today that Congress has passed his requests of over $20 million in federal funds for projects that will address crucial needs across the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles. Last year, Congressman Sherman secured nearly $9 million in federal funding for numerous valley projects and priorities.
"These funds will address community needs across the Valley, including improvements to our public parks, funds for at risk youth, additional resources to address homelessness, and additional support to aid in our recovery from the pandemic," said Congressman Sherman. "I'm pleased that my colleagues and I were able to achieve this bipartisan government funding bill that will respond directly to many of our community's most pressing needs."
