"Finally Brought to Justice" - Congressman Sherman Statement on Death of Hezbollah Leader Nasrallah
Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32), senior Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement in response to the death of Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah:
"Thank you Israel for eliminating the biggest terrorist since bin Laden and for avenging the murder of our marines. Hassan Nasrallah unleashed terror that claimed countless lives, from Beirut to Aleppo to Buenos Aires to Israel.
Hezbollah led the deadliest attack on U.S. marines since Iwo Jima, orchestrated the worst terror attack in Argentina’s history and helped Assad slaughter thousands.
Nearly 41 years after Hezbollah killed 241 U.S. service members in the 1983 barracks attack and a decade after Hezbollah and the Assad regime killed over 500,00 Syrians, Nasrallah has finally been brought to justice. His elimination, like that of Bin Laden, makes the world safer."
