Sherman Oaks, CA – Last night, over 5,000Valley residents participated in Congressman Brad Sherman's (D-Sherman Oaks) live "Telephone Town Hall" where the Congressman provided updates on the multiple critical issues facing the country –the crisis in Ukraine, fighting inflation, COVID-19 and more.
"Town Halls have always been an essential part of my outreach to Valley residents," said Congressman Sherman. "During such critical moments, from combating a global pandemic to helping a sovereign nation repel a brutal invasion, Telephone Town Halls allow me to instantly and safely connect with thousands of Valley residents, keeping them informed, providing accurate information, and listening to their concerns on the many issues we face together."
As the United States and international community grapple with the unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine, thousands of Valley residents joined the event to hear Congressman Sherman, a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, provide updates on the U.S. response. Congressman Sherman also discussed the many critical issues we face at home as our country works to emerge from an unprecedented pandemic and rebuild our economy. The Congressman highlighted the progress achieved, such as historic job growth and the significant drop in the unemployment rate, and the work that lies ahead in addressing such issues as inflation, domestic energy needs, and COVID-19.
