Sherman Marks Five Years Since the January 6th Attack on Democracy

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) issued the following statement to mark the fifth anniversary of the January 6th attack on our democracy:

"Five years ago today, our democracy was tested. On January 6th, a violent mob attacked the U.S. Capitol to overturn a free and fair election. Law enforcement officers were injured, lives were lost, and the peaceful transfer of power was put at risk.

We must never minimize what happened or allow it to be repeated."
