Sherman Statement on President Biden's Bold Supreme Court Reform Plan

Washington, D.C.— On July 29th, Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) released the following statement on President Biden’s announcement of a bold plan to reform the Supreme Court:

"I commend President Biden's bold plan for Supreme Court reform and look forward to working with my colleagues to see this proposal become law. If the highest court in the land refuses to hold itself to the highest possible standards, then the people will.

The Supreme Court ruled that Presidents are above the law. Some Presidents appoint three justices while others get to appoint only one. Justices aren't constrained by basic ethics rules. The President's proposed reforms represent a crucial step towards fixing all that."
