Sherman Condemns Kanye West's Mainstreaming of anti-Semitism

Sherman Oaks, California -- In an appearance on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' show, Ye – the rapper formerly known as Kanye West – doubled down on a series of antisemitic comments he's made in recent months. Ye appeared on the show alongside Nick Fuentes, the white-nationalist internet personality. The pair had dinner with former President Donald Trump shortly before this interview.

On Jones' show , Ye's statements were among his most brazen. "I see good things about Hitler," Ye said during the nearly 3-hour interview. Later, he veered into Holocaust denialism.

"Kanye's vile statements praising Hitler are a real and direct threat to Jewish communities across the United States. The mainstreaming of violent antisemitism has violent consequences and must be unequivocally condemned," said Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA). "The time to stand with the Jewish community is now."

Sherman continued: "Trump and anyone else who elevates Kanye, Nick Fuentes, and other bigots need to clearly disavow these horrendous views. Now more than ever, we need to seriously confront the enabling of antisemitic and racist rhetoric in our politics."
