[Washington, D.C.] Congressman Brad Sherman brought his effort to improve education in the Valley before the House Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on Labor, Health, Human Services, and Education.

Shermans testimony focused on two valley projects: HighTechHigh, the first school of its kind in Los Angeles to incorporate cutting edge technology training into secondary education, and the Center for Adaptive Aquatic Therapy, a nationally-recognized adapted aquatic therapy research program at the California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

[Washington, D.C.] – Congressman Brad Sherman announced eight hundred thousand dollars in combined federal funds to teach entertainment technology in Valley schools. The funds are directed at HighTechHigh, a nonprofit organization focusing on providing Valley students with real world technological skills and a college preparatory curriculum, and an entertainment engineering technology program at California State University at Northridge (CSUN).

[Washington, D.C.] " Congressman Brad Sherman today announced the first tally of responses to the Congressional Issues Questionnaire he circulated earlier in the year. Over 3,000 Valley residents filled out the questionnaire through the mail, on Shermans website, or at one of his Town Hall Meetings. This is not a complete or comprehensive analysis, but it points to some definite trends in Valley views.
