WASHINGTON, DC -- Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32), senior Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Congressional India Caucus, issued a congratulatory statement after India became the fourth nation ever to land a spacecraft on the moon.
"Congratulations to India for its successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon," exclaimed Sherman. "India is the first country to ever land a craft on this part of the lunar surface."

The historic, bipartisan amendment calls for the strengthening of the U.S.-India defense partnership in response to increasing threats in the Indo-Pacific region.
