Sherman Presses for 405 Freeway Carpool Lane

Sacramento, CA. - Congressman Brad Sherman on Tuesday urged the California Transportation Commission to provide funds for construction of a northbound carpool lane on the heavily-congested 405 Freeway through the Sepulveda Pass.

œIt is imperative that Los Angeles receive its share of funding to construct projects that will relieve congestion, improve travel time for commuters and improve air quality in our region, Sherman said in a letter to the commissioners.

The Bush Budget is Bad Business

Instead of putting our fiscal house in order â€“ like it was when the President took office and inherited a strong surplus â€“ his plan would add $3.2trillion to the national debt over the next decade.
