Washington, D.C. - Today the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Marcia Fudge. Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) urged Secretary Fudge and HUD to reform regulations to allow disabled veterans to qualify for supportive housing programs.

"I can't think of anything more shameful than a homeless disabled veteran that lost a limb, defending us, and is now on the streets," said Congressman Sherman.

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Brad Sherman shared the news that starting Jan. 17, all veterans will be able to access emergency mental health care free of charge at any Veterans Affairs medical facility or outside clinic, regardless of whether they are already enrolled in department health care services.
