Congressman Sherman moved to introduce this legislation in the wake of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the life of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others on January 26, 2020 in Calabasas, California.

"The community and I have long fought for a full clean-up of the Santa Susana Field Lab," Sherman said. "Safety must be the number one priority, including how any material is handled and ultimately disposed of."

Sherman Oaks – Last night, thousands of Valley residents participated in Congressman Brad Sherman's (D-Sherman Oaks) 5th interactive "Coronavirus Telephone Town Hall".

Over 6,000 Valley residents participated in a conversation with Congressman Sherman for an hour. During this time, the Congressman was joined by Dr. Nirav Shah, Senior Scholar at Stanford University's Clinical Excellence Research Center who provided critical health and safety guidance for dealing with this unprecedented public health crisis.
