Washington, D.C. - Congressman Brad Sherman announced today that the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure approved more than $21 million for San Fernando Valley road improvements and mass-transit projects requested by Congressman Sherman. The bill now heads to the House floor where passage is expected, and then to the Senate.

It's not news that Ilhan Omar would make outrageous and clearly false statements about America and Israel. What's newsworthy is that she admits Hamas is guilty of "unthinkable atrocities". It's time for all of Israel's detractors to condemn Hamas. And it's time for all those of good will to reject any moral equivalency between the U.S. and Israel on one hand, and Hamas and the Taliban on the other.

Washington, D.C. – In a hearing before the House Committee on Science, Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm acknowledged the Department of Energy's duty to clean up contaminated sites, including the Santa Susana Field Lab. In response to questioning by Congressman Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks), Secretary Granholm said Santa Susana Field Lab cleanup "is a priority" and acknowledged the lack of compliance with past cleanup commitments.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks), senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, introduced the Peace on the Korean Peninsula Act. Among other things, the bill calls for serious, urgent diplomatic engagement in pursuit of a binding peace agreement constituting a formal end to the Korean War.

Washington, DC – On Tuesday, May 18, the House passed bipartisan legislation led by Congressman Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks), Chair of the House Subcommittee on Investor Protection and Capital Markets, and Congressman Van Taylor (R-TX) to make it easier for homebuyers to purchase a home with a Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage. H.R. 3008, the Homebuyer Assistance Act of 2021 would do this by reducing a number of hurdles which appraisers currently face before they are allowed to perform appraisals for home purchases financed by an FHA mortgage.
