Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32), senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, convened a press conference on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to urge for the passage of his bipartisan legislation, the Peace on the Korean Peninsula Act.

Yesterday, I met with Israel’s Economy Minister Nir Barkat in my Washington D.C. office for an hour and a half. I began by expressing my sympathy for the 1,200 Israelis murdered on October 7th during Hamas’s horrific massacre and the roughly 134 hostages who remain in Hamas captivity.

“President Biden is working tirelessly to persuade the House of Representatives to pass the Senate bill, which would provide aid to Ukraine and Taiwan, and also provide $14.1 billion military aid to Israel. I expect that if this bill passes, the President will carry it out according to its terms, and Israel will get the military aid that it needs and deserves.
