U.S. - Israel Relationship

Congressman Sherman has served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee where he has worked to support the U.S. - Israel alliance.
Sherman is currently the Co-Chair of the House Israel Allied Caucus and the most senior Democrat on the House-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Washington, D.C.— Today, Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32), senior Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Co-Chair of the House Israel Allied Caucus, released the following statement on the Israeli military's rescue of an Israeli Arab from Hamas captivity:

Yesterday, I met with Israel’s Economy Minister Nir Barkat in my Washington D.C. office for an hour and a half. I began by expressing my sympathy for the 1,200 Israelis murdered on October 7th during Hamas’s horrific massacre and the roughly 134 hostages who remain in Hamas captivity.
