WASHINGTON, D.C. — On July 19, 2023, Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) helped welcome Israeli President Isaac Herzog as part of a Congressional Escort Committee for President Herzog's historic address to a Joint Session of Congress.

"It was an honor to escort President Isaac Herzog of Israel to his address to Congress," said Congressman Sherman after the speech. Washington, DC -- As the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass a resolution proclaiming that Israel is "not a racist or apartheid state", Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) made a passionate speech on the House Floor defending Israel while slamming Republican's hypocrisy on antisemitism.

"We can't fight antisemitism if either side is only willing to get tough on it when politically convenient," proclaimed Sherman in a fiery speech.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- On July 14, 2023, the American actors' union SAG–AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) went on strike over an ongoing labor dispute with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). It has coincided with a Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike as part of broader Hollywood labor disputes.

The Capital Markets Subcommittee hearing focused on Republican efforts to prevent shareholders from knowing the environmental impact of the company and calling for shareholder votes.

Washington, DC -- Lawmakers led by Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) and Senator Elizabeth Warren (Massachusetts) sent a letter to the IRS calling on the agency to make the free pilot electronic tax filing system available to more taxpayers next filing season.

"Today I, along with Senator Warren and dozens of my colleagues, called on the IRS to make the agency's free pilot direct tax filing system available next filing season to better serve American taxpayers," said Congressman Sherman, the only democrat CPA currently in Congress.
