Washington, D.C. -- Today Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32), senior member of the House Committee on Financial Services, and Congressman Stephen Lynch (MA-8) sent a letter to the United States Treasury Department and the I.R.S. to urge the prompt release of proposed regulations that would bring the cryptocurrency industry into full tax compliance.

"For many years, the cryptocurrency industry has been a major source of tax evasion and a significant part of the nation's tax gap," said Congressman Sherman.

Washington, D.C. -- On May 25th, the Biden Administration released the first-ever U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitismthat includes over 100 new actions the Administration will take to raise awareness of antisemitism and its threat to American democracy, protect Jewish communities, reverse the normalization of antisemitism, and build cross-community solidarity.

"One year since the heartbreaking tragedy in Uvalde, the deep feelings of loss and pain remain - but the urgency to build a safer future for our children and communities persists," said Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) in observance of the one year since the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas that claimed the lives of 19 fourth-grade students and two teachers.

"We remember and honor the lives we lost and reaffirm our resolve to end the gun violence epidemic that continues its grip on our country."
