More on Combating antisemitism

We do not yet know the full extent of the horrors perpetuated against Israeli civilians by Hamas terrorists, and we will likely learn of further war crimes by Hamas as new information surfaces in the coming hours and days. But what we've already seen are some of the most horrific images imaginable: elderly women slaughtered while waiting at a bus stop; dozens, including children, young women, and the elderly, kidnapped and taken into the Gaza strip; bodies of the dead desecrated and paraded around. The death toll has already reached 200 and is likely to continue to rise.
SHERMAN OAKS, CALIFORNIA -- "Today we pause to honor the memory of Joseph Ileto and the survivors of the North Valley Jewish Community Center shooting. The ugly factors that fueled that fateful day over twenty years ago - senseless gun violence, antisemitism and other forms of hate - are still sadly all too common.
While this tragic anniversary has left an indelible mark on our community, it also serves as a stark reminder on the need to never waver nor wilt in the face of hatred in any of its ugly forms."
Washington, DC -- As the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass a resolution proclaiming that Israel is "not a racist or apartheid state", Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) made a passionate speech on the House Floor defending Israel while slamming Republican's hypocrisy on antisemitism.
"We can't fight antisemitism if either side is only willing to get tough on it when politically convenient," proclaimed Sherman in a fiery speech.
Washington, D.C. -- On May 25th, the Biden Administration released the first-ever U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitismthat includes over 100 new actions the Administration will take to raise awareness of antisemitism and its threat to American democracy, protect Jewish communities, reverse the normalization of antisemitism, and build cross-community solidarity.

Washington, D.C. -- This week, Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32), along with more than 20 lawmakers, joined together with several Holocaust survivors for an event on Capitol Hill in honor of Yom HaShoah, Israel's Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Reps. David Kustoff (TN) and Brad Schneider (IL) hosted their colleagues for an emotional event that included remarks from Holocaust survivor Rachel Mutterperl Goldfarb, a candlelighting, a recitation of names of Jews who died in the Holocaust and remarks by Stuart Eizenstat, chairman of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.
"To forget the dead would be akin to killing them a second time." – Elie Wiesel Yet on this International Holocaust Remembrance Day, less than half of Americans know how many Jews were killed in the Holocaust. As we take today to memorialize and mourn the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazi regime, and as antisemitism and ethnic hatred is on the rise around the world, we must reprioritize Holocaust education.
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA) called for the removal of a United Nations official, Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, over her antisemitic comments.
"No one should get a free pass for engaging in antisemitism - including at the U.N.," said Congressman Sherman. "I led my colleagues in calling on the U.N. to remove Special Rapporteur Albanese from her post following her refusal to take accountability for her antisemitic comments."
Shock and outrage permeated throughout the nation over a recent anti-Israel rally put on by pro-Palestinian protestors at the University of Michigan. Clips of the protest depicted marchers, chanting "Intifada, Intifada! Long live the Intifada" a call to violent overthrow of the Jewish state inspired by Palestinian riots and rebellions against Israel in the late 80s, early 90s, and early 2000s. "There is only one solution!" a female marcher was seen chanting, as the crowd behind her responded, "Intifada! Revolution!"
Sherman Oaks, California -- In an appearance on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' show, Ye – the rapper formerly known as Kanye West – doubled down on a series of antisemitic comments he's made in recent months. Ye appeared on the show alongside Nick Fuentes, the white-nationalist internet personality. The pair had dinner with former President Donald Trump shortly before this interview.
On Jones' show , Ye's statements were among his most brazen. "I see good things about Hitler," Ye said during the nearly 3-hour interview. Later, he veered into Holocaust denialism.
