WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Ranking Member of the Capital Markets Subcommittee, Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA-32), and Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-IN-05) announce the introduction of four bills designed to address issues of fairness and risk when Americans invest in Chinese corporations. The most important of these bills would end the capital gains tax break for Americans who invest in Chinese stocks. Sherman and Spartz are also the co-chairs of the bipartisan CPA Caucus.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- On February 20th, the Undergraduate Students Association Council to vote on a resolution endorsing the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement against Israel. The 10-3 vote to pass the resolution was conducted by secret ballot amid privacy and security concerns. The resolution follows similar BDS resolutions proposed at other California institutions, with UC Davis' student government and the UCLA Graduate Student Association voting to support BDS resolutions on February 22nd.
