WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32), senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Co-Chair of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus, has been officially selected by the U.S. House of Representatives to serve as a member of the House-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group. This newly formed, bipartisan group will be responsible for increasing cooperation and strengthening relations between the United States and Israel. Sherman will be the group's number two ranking Democrat.

Washington, DC -- As the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass a resolution proclaiming that Israel is "not a racist or apartheid state", Congressman Brad Sherman (CA-32) made a passionate speech on the House Floor defending Israel while slamming Republican's hypocrisy on antisemitism.

"We can't fight antisemitism if either side is only willing to get tough on it when politically convenient," proclaimed Sherman in a fiery speech.

It has coincided with a Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike as part of broader Hollywood labor disputes.
